Nov 20 Update Road Project - Final work Pending weather problems, the asphalt stamping, coloring, sealing and striping will begin Monday November 29 and will take about 4-5 days to complete. The front entrance on Forest Drive will be closed to all traffic from Monday through Wednesday of that week. The work at the entrance, clubhouse parking lot, and the 4 way stop by the clubhouse will be done at this time. When that work has been completed, then the back entrance and exit will be closed to all traffic to complete the work on the 4 way stop and other sealing work by the back gate. Hopefully all stamping, sealing and striping should be finished by Friday, December 3. All entrance and exit gates should be fully operational by this time. *************** August 6 Update: The Board of the Gregg Park Homeowners Association has agreed by unanimous consent to (1) contract with REA Contracting LLC to carry out the road repair and rehabilitation project in Gregg Park, and (2) to move ahead expeditiously with the project, with an anticipated start date of Wednesday, 11 August 2010. The entire project is expected to take 30-45 days to complete; Nominal staging of the project will be as follows: · curb repair and replacement (throughout neighborhood) · utility crossing repair (throughout neighborhood) · excavation and repair of badly damaged sections of road (Alexander Circle, Gregg Pkwy, Sweetbay Trail) - including selected intersections · installation of storm drainage on Alexander Circle (7-10 days) · milling of entire existing road surface and application of 1.5" overlay · resurfacing of Clubhouse parking lot REA expects that access to some properties will only be limited during working hours (7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily); otherwise, property owners should be able to access their property every day; cars left on the street where work will take place will be subject to towing at owners expense. Due to the accelerated timetable for completion of the project, the payment due date for the $2,100.00 special assessment has been moved up by two weeks. The assessment may be paid in one lump sum payment by 15 September 2010. Alternatively, you may choose to make four equal quarterly payments of $550 each, which includes an additional $100 to cover interest and fees. Please download and print the Special Assessment payment preference sheet (pdf file), indicate your payment preference, and return it to Weston Management by September 15. During the execution of the project, please be mindful of the workers and their equipment in the neighborhood. |

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF WORK REA Contracting will have a supervisor onsite at all times. Traffic control personnel will assist in the areas that have restricted traffic patterns. REA personnel will hand out flyers each week in the areas where traffic flow is restricted. Should an owner have any questions about access to their homes, the supervisor will be able to assist. Please do not park on the street when advised as vehicles that obstruct work will be subject to tow. When concrete or asphalt work is being done in your area, please TURN OFF YOUR IRRIGATION SYSTEM while the concrete or asphalt is curing. Please remember that this is a work place. The workers will make every effort to protect your property while performing the work and assuring a safe working environment. Some delays and inconvenience is to be expected and cannot be helped due to the nature of the work. However, it is hoped that it will be minimal in most areas.
